Description
Small practices for remembering our relationship with the living world
Acts of Nature Reverence is a gentle, all-ages collection of simple practices designed to help children and adults slow down, listen, and reconnect with the more-than-human world.
Rather than lessons or activities to complete “correctly,” these are invitations into relationship- with trees, stones, animals, wind, night, and place. Each act can be done alone or together, outdoors or indoors, in a few minutes or stretched into a longer moment of presence.
Rooted in animist ways of relating, imaginative play, creativity and embodied listening, this PDF supports:
- Nature connection through felt experience
- Emotional regulation and grounding
- Imagination, creativity, and drawing
- A sense of belonging within the living world
The practices are written in clear, accessible language, making them suitable for children while remaining meaningful for adults, parents, educators, and facilitators.
Inside you’ll find:
- Acts of reverence for trees, stones, animals, wind, night, and spirit of place
- Simple prompts for listening, movement, breath, and art-making
- Gentle invitations rather than instructions or beliefs
This is a printable PDF you can return to again and again – at home, in woodland spaces, schools, circles, camps, or quiet moments between everyday life. I often print them out and leave them in camp spaces for the kids to do.
Offered as a seed.
Take what you need, adapt freely, and pass it on with acknowledgement and care.
